Cliffe Bonfire Society, formed in 1853, based in Lewes, East Sussex celebrates the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 each year on the 5th November. This is a very interesting, detailed and well put together site.

"Firle Bonfire Society was re-formed in 1981 to encourage and promote traditional bonfire festivities in the village and this year the Society celebrates its 21st Birthday. We hold an annual Bonfire Night with torchlit processions and fireworks display every October to commemorate the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605. We also take part in other Sussex Bonfire Celebrations during the outmeeting season and attend other events which include the Alfriston Christms Shopping Evening in December where the Society processes in full costumed splendour."
